"free balloons for everyone" or "reneehatesyou"

Rotten before the rum was drunk

We were dead before the ship had sunk

The scurvy spread and the sea was vast

You were caught before our sail was cast

Banished from society

We stole your casks and married the sea

Not searching for no sacred gold

Our souls already were bought and sold

Beastly Anonymity

In anonymous, poetry on April 30, 2011 at 7:26 pm

I strip my words of my name
And I send them away
To a land where they won’t have to
Do as I say
Away from my sins,
Away from this place
Somewhere far where they won’t
Put shame on my face
They’ll be free and unchained
Unfiltered yet clean
They’ll tell wicked tales
That I once hid within
The people will gasp
The people will praise
Oh it’s so easy
When there’s no name to the face

They’ll make it all sound like a tale of fiction
And they shall not call me out on my contradiction

For these words, they are free.
They’re not mine in the least
And I’m free of the guilt
That comes with being a beast.

Have I Not?

In anonymous, poetry on April 30, 2011 at 7:11 pm

Have I not stolen eyes, hearts
Bent over porcelain and the
Cracks in the wall? Have I
Not manipulated your sense of
Balance and thrust vertigo past
Your defenses? Have I not read
And emulated great thinkers and
Writers? Those before, they
Come again as I steal
Thoughts and think them, as I
Pilfer boxes of books and poems
And their every dead feeling;
From the grips of corpses
Comes new life. The only original
Thought is that which a new
Mind has thought of the old.
